Egyptian National Competitiveness Council (ENCC) Delegation visited
MPM Ýstanbul Regional Directorate
A delegation representing Egyptian National
Competitiveness Council (ENCC) and Egyptian Regulatory Reform and
Development Activity (ERRADA) visited MPM Ýstanbul Regional
Directorate on 18 November 2009.
The Egyptian Delegation consisted of Prof.
Mona El Baradei (Executive Director), Amina Ghanen
(Secretary General), Heba Zayed (Deputy-Executive
Director for Research), Dina Kafafy
(Deputy-Executive Director for Business
Development) and Alf Monaghan (Team
Leader). And the Turkish Delegation consisted of Vice Chairman of
the Board Prof. Dr. Mehmet Eroðlu, Member of the Board
Mustafa Deryal, Secretary General and Member of the Board
Kerim Ünal, 16th World Productivity Congress Coordinator
Rasim Yýlmaz and Ýstanbul Regional Director Mustafa Mahir
Kutay and Head of Public Relations Department Hayati Tek.
Turkish Delegation gave information about
MPM’s activities and 16th World Productivity Congress to be
conducted in Türkiye on 2-5 November 2010 and invited them to the
Congress. Egyptian delegation was interested in Productivity
Improvement Projects conducted since 1998 by MPM and they stated
that they could take these kinds of projects as an example and apply
them in their own country. In addition exchange of opinions for
future collaboration possibilities were made.
The Egyptian National Competitiveness Council
(ENCC) was established in February 2004. Led by a group of
prominent businessmen and members of the academic community, the
ENCC is Egypt’s first non-governmental organization to tackle the
issue of national competitiveness.
ENCC’s vision is to become an instrument of
influence on government policies, business climate, and public
attitudes to make the nation’s institutions more globally
competitive. It seeks to develop solutions for specific issues that
will increase the productivity of businesses and workers.
