Significant Support By MPM To The Strategic Collaboration Between
Türkiye And Kazakhstan
MPM Delegation has made some official visits
to some productivity related organizations in Astana, Almaty
and Turkistan in Kazakhstan within the context of studies
titled “Initiation of Establishing Productivity Collaboration
Networks in Asia and Caucasus” referred in MPM 2007-2011
Strategic Plan and 2009 Work Plan between 10-15 November 2009.
Some significant steps have been taken that will contribute to the
goals of the Strategic Partnership Document signed between two
countries within the context of the visit of Kazakhstan President
Nazarbayev to Türkiye last month.
MPM Delegation, constituted of Secretary
General and Member of the Board Kerim ÜNAL and Member of the
Board Prof. Dr. Mehmet EROĞLU, 16th World Productivity
Congress Coordinator Rasim Yılmaz and expert Gözde CÜCE
has been met with an interest by public and private sector
organizations in Kazakhstan. MPM delegation initially visited
Turkish Embassy in Astana within the context of the programme
coordinated by TİKA (Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency)
and gave some technical information about the visits. Besides the
technical issues, the developments in Kazakh- Turkish relations were
also evaluated during this visit.
MPM Delegation has met the representatives of
National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan (ATAMEKEN Union)
which has more than 126 members. MPM services, activities and 16th
World Productivity Congress have been introduced to the participants
at the meeting. ATAMEKEN representatives stated that the enterprises
in the country were affected by the global crises, the employers
need to be informed about productivity and that they will encourage
their members to attend the Congress in 2010.
MPM Delegation also had a meeting at the
Accounts Committee of Kazakhstan to which Committee Chairman and
the Heads of the related departments attended. Turkish delegation
made a presentation on MPM activities and services and the 16th
World Productivity Congress. Kazakh participants informed MPM
Delegation that they have been preparing to sign a protocol between
Turkish Court of Accounts to establish an international training
centre in Kazakhstan. Following this information Turkish Delegation
informed that MPM also had cooperation with the Turkish Court of
Accounts on training the employees on certain subjects and offered
to make a similar cooperation. The authorities of Kazakh side stated
that they would like to attend the Congress with a delegation in
2010. MPM delegation visited the TİKA office in Astana following
the visit to the Accounts Committee and made an evaluation with TİKA
Deputy Coordinator İrfan Pamuk.
Following, MPM Delegation met with
representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the
Republic of Kazakhstan and made a presentation on the MPM
services provided to industry enterprises and the 16th World
Productivity Congress. Ministry officials emphasized the prior role
of productivity in scope of the “new industrialization strategy in
the non-petrol sectors of economy” in Kazakhstan, and stated that
they will be in great honour to improve relations with MPM on the
strategies shared in common.
In 12 November 2009, MPM Delegation has moved
to Almaty, previous capital until 1997. Initially, MPM Delegation
held a meeting with the representatives of the Chamber of
Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Delegation
made broad explanations about MPM’s activities in the national and
international arena and the 16th World Productivity Congress to the
Kazakh Chamber which provide training and technical support services
to SMEs and have relations with also the Union of Chambers and
Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). Vice President Tatyana V.
Zhdanova stated that they will give priority to inform their members
about the Congress and they may participate in the Congress with a
delegation. Tatyana V. Zhdanova also expressed her sad feelings
about the atrocious attack carried out last month in Kazakhstan
against Zeki Pilge, president of the Turkuaz Company and CEO Hayri
Ersoy who lost his life in that attack.
Following the chamber visit, the Delegation
visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University which is
evaluated as one of the leading universities in scientific arena in
Kazakhstan. a meeting was held in the Al-Farabi University which has
more than 20.000 students with the participation of vice-rector,
deans and department heads from related faculties, in which MPM
Delegation introduced MPM activity areas, ongoing international
projects and the 16th World Productivity Congress. University
representatives explained that they send their students to Turkey
for internship in scope of the cooperation programs that Al-Farabi
University made with the universities of Ankara, İstanbul, Ege,
Muğla and Yeditepe in Turkey. They also expressed that they will be
very glad to be in cooperation with MPM and also to participate in
the Congress under related themes with a wide delegation. The
cooperation protocol presented to the university officials was met
with content, and they stated that they will be glad to sign this
protocol after being presented to the approval of the University
Senate.
After Al-Farabi University visit, MPM
Delegaiton met with representatives of the Süleyman Demirel
University (SDU) in Almaty. In the meeting, internship period of
SDU students in MPM between 2008-2009 was evaluated and it was
observed that the students and the directors were highly content
about the experiences students gained in MPM throughout their
internship period. Besides, detailed information on the 16th World
Productivity Congress was given to SDU representatives. The actual
cooperation that has been continuing between the two institutions
since 2008 has been officially recognized with a cooperation
protocol signed between the two parties.
In 13 November 2009, MPM Delegation
moved to Turkistan, the moral capital of the Turcic World. Here, the
Delegation met with the representatives of the Ahmet Yesevi
International Turkish-Kazakh University (AYÜ). In the meeting,
with a broad participation of the Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Mahir
Nakip, Vice-Rector Dr. Adnan Tekşen, faculty members and students,
16th World Productivity Congress and MPM services was introduced
with a presentation. The two sides have reached a deal on the issue
of signing a cooperation protocol for expert exchange, public
relations and training. After the meetings, MPM Delegation visited
cultural and historical places in Turkestan such as the mausoleum of
Hodja Ahmet Yesevi who has a significant place in the Turkification
and Islamification of the Anatolia, as well as the mausoleum of his
master Arslan Baba, Otrar museum and the museum in the AYU Cultural
Center on the history of the Turkic societies.
In 14 November 2009, MPM Delegation
moved bact to Almaty to meet with the members of the Association
of the Kazakh-Turkish Businessmen (KATİAD). MPM services
provided to SMEs and the 16th World Productivity Congress was
presented to the KATİAD members and they have been invited to the
Congress. The following day, MPM Delegation participated with the
Almaty Consul General of the Republic of Turkey, Yeşim Kebapçıoğlu
to the ceremony of the 65th Anniversary of the expatriation of the
Meskhetian Turks from their homeland. After the meeting, MPM
Delegation came together with the representatives of the University
of Foreign Language and Business Professional Career in Kazakhstan,
and they signed a cooperation protocol with the University Rector
Prof. Dr. Sabri Hizmetli.
After intense official contacts, MPM
Delegation visited cultural and historical places in Almaty such as
Almaty State Museum, Medeo-Çimbulak natural and sports centers and
public bazaar. Following the productive intercourses in Kazakhstan,
MPM Delegation turned back to Turkey in 16 November 2009.
