MPM Secretary General Kerim Ünal
Participated to the “Power and Electricity World Eurasia 2009 Conference”
MPM Secretary General and Member of the Board Kerim ÜNAL talked about
energy productivity and MPM studies at the Power and Electricity World
Eurasia 2009 Conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on 17 November 2009.
Secretary General Kerim ÜNAL talked about the quarterly productivity
indicators and these indicators are a significant road map for
national and international investors. He stated in his speech that MPM
has conducted Productivity Improvement Projects in more than 50
provinces and served public and private sector institutions and SMEs within
the context of a protocol signed between Chamber of Industry and
Commerce, Governorship of the province and MPM. Besides the studies
related to the SWOT analysis of the province, research, training,
consultancy activities are also given within the context of these
projects in order to assist the promotion of Productivity in the related
province.
Ünal also stated that the cost of hydroelectric is 2.2-3 cent, cost
of coal is 3-4 cent, cost of natural gas is 9-12 cents in Türkiye and
pointed out that the manufacturing of energy based on natural gas has
been 45% and should be decreased to 25%.
He also mentioned about the 16th World Productivity Congress to be
conducted in Antalya between 2-5 November in 2010 and invited the
participants to the Congress. Saying that “ Energy Productivity” is one
of the topics to be discussed in the Congress, he added Productivity is
one of the most significant issues in all sectors.
Deputy Director General of Electrical Power Resources Survey and
Development Administration Erdal Çalıkoğlu was one of the panellists at
this Conference to which 16th World Productivity Congress Coordinator
Rasim Yılmaz, İstanbul Regional Manager of MPM Dr. Mustafa Mahir Kutay and Head of Public Relations Department Hayati Tek from MPM
also attended.
Türkiye’s role in Eurosia’s Future in energy issues, securing the
investments in energy sector, sustainable energy, enegy performance and
renewable energy sector were the topics discussed in the Conference.
