Leading CEOs of the World will meet in Türkiye in 2010 said Mr. Akansel Koç; Chairman of the Board in his speech to the daily newspaper “Dünya Gazetesi”

Mr. Akansel Koç; Chairman of the Board spoke in his interview in the issue of Dünya Gazetesi dated 3 August 2009 about the productivity awareness, MPM’s activities and 16th World Productivity Congress to be hosted by MPM in Türkiye in 2010.

Mr. KOÇ said in relation to the Productivity Improvement Projects which have been continuing since 1998 that “we have conducted these projects in approximately 50 cities and we have reached approximately 40 thousand people with our training programmes. We have given free training and consultancy services to approximately one thousand SMEs. These projects also have a social aspect.  We enrich our projects with the programmes targeting teachers, NGOs, students and pupils. We organize these projects taking into account the structure and specific characteristics of the cities where these projects are conducted”. He also added that “approximately 40 thousand senior administrators have attendad our training programmes. Productivity is an issue of awareness. We cannot get the results we want even if we apply the necessary technics without this awareness”.      

In addition he talked about 16. World Productivity Congress to be held in Türkiye in 2010 and gave the following information: “The Congress will be conducted in Antalya between 2-5 November 2009.  We are organizing this event with “WCPS; World Confederation of Productivity Science” and “EANPC; European Association of National Productivity Centres”. We are both a member and the Vice-President of EANPC. We had also organized this event before in 1995.  Leading public managers from different states, scientists, researchers, top managers of some companies participated to this Congress. And we are also expecting a great number of participation from scientific areas, universities, companies and research organizations to this event”.  He also added that “We are going through some problems of social, economic and environment. These problems will be discussed here in Türkiye and thus our country will be a platform where these issues will be discussed. Leading CEOs of the world are also expected to attend at the Conference.  The theme is “Productivity at the Crossroads: Creating a Socially, Economically and Environmentally Responsible World”.
