Annual Productivity Indicators Related To Year 2006 Have Been Published

Annual productivity indicators related to year 2006 have been published on 30th of June (today) by National Productivity Centre of Turkey. Productivity indicators have been calculated for 730 different fields of activity which include whole “Industry”, “Construction”, “Wholesale and retail trade” and almost all sections of “Service sector”. Minister of Industry and Trade Nihat Ergün attended to the meeting arranged for the promotion of the 16th World Productivity Congress and European Productivity Conference 2010 at Ceylan Intercontinental Hotel on 12 May 2010.

Workshop on the  “Promotion of Innovation and Encouragement of Participation of SMEs”

 A workshop on the “Promotion of Innovation and Encouragement of Participation of SMEs” has been held in cooperation with National Productivity Centre of Türkiye (MPM) and EU Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) in Ankara on 11-12 May 2010. The aim of the Workshop is to inform the participants on the EU Financial Support on Innovation Projects. In addition, some Country Case Studies of best implementations have been shared within the context of the Workshop.

An Interview with Kerim Ünal; MPM’s Secretary General & Member of The Board

We’ve had an interview with Mr. Kerim ÜNAL and asked his thoughts and ideas about productivity indicators issued since June and the 16th World Productivity Congress.

“It is our duty to issue quarterly indicators according to Law No 580. Our Centre published productivity indicators in energy and manufacturing sectors before, in a book format, but they were not up to date and so they were not useful for the related sectors...

Changes Seen in Quarterly Productivity Indicators in The First Quarter of 2009

National Productivity Centre of Turkiye has published the quarterly productivity indicators (2005 based) related to the first quarter of 2009 on 03.08.2009. When the results are analysed, it is seen that production per hour worked has increased by 0.8% in “mining and quarrying” and by 3% in “electricity, gas and water supply” compared to the same quarter of the previous year (1st quarter of 2008).

The Organization Services Bid of the 16th World Productivity Congress and European Productivity Conference 2010 which will be hosted by the National Productivity Centre of Turkiye between the dates 2-5 November, 2010 in Antalya has been announced

Nearly 100 famous company executives and CEOs from various countries of the world will attend to the 16th World Productivity Congress and European Productivity Conference to be hosted by MPM in Türkiye in October 2010.

MPM Committee of 4 people represented Türkiye at the World Confederation of Productivity Science (WCPS) meeting held in Montreal, Canada on April 22-25, 2009. Headed by MPM Secretary General and Vice President  of the European Association of National Productivity Centers (EANPC) Kerim Ünal; the committee included Deputy Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Mehmet Eroğlu, MPM Technical Consultant Dr. F. Zehra Özkan and Head of International Relations Department Dilek Özdemir.

MPM’s Secretary General And Member Of The Board Mr. Kerim Ünal Has Been Elected as A Fellow for World Academy of Productivity Science

MPM’s Secretary General and Member of the Board Mr. Kerim ÜNAL has been elected as a fellow for WAPS (World Academy For Productivity Science) at the 15th WPC in Sun City. Productivity Awards were given to 14 people; 3 fellows were elected from America and Europe, 3 fellows were elected from Asia and 5 people from Africa.

MPM’s Secretary General and Member of the Board Kerim Ünal has been elected “The Bureaucrat of the Year” 

Kerim Ünal; MPM’s Secretary General and EANPC’s Deputy President has been awarded the prize of “bureaucrat of the year 2008” by ELSİAD (Elbistan Industrialists & Businessmen Association). He received this prize within the context of “The Awards for the Best Bureaucrat of Elbistan and “The Awards for Merits Raised by Elbistan” on account of both his “efforts in energy sector” and also his studies in improving productivity across the country as a result of surveys and research on industrialists and businessmen
